Dom Dewalles

Dom Dewalles

Originally from the north of France where she lives and works, Dom has followed several lessons dedicated to the knowledge and practice of arts, such as learning old painting techniques, knowledge of plastic arts and practical training in engraving. From this plural education, the artist keeps a pronounced taste for all areas relating to creation.

In parallel with his pictorial activity, Dom will try sculpture, illustration as well as the creation of sets for the theater of objects.

Since 2009, she has also been part of an association that brings together several artists, in the various activity, around the creation of multidisciplinary shows for young audiences. Her multiple passions, she will also share them with her students during the various courses she provides in her native region.

Dom's work, worked from casein of milk, lime and acrylic painting and mixed techniques combined with a delicately chosen palette of tones, is imbued with great poetry. Sketched with great sweetness, his subjects are generally represented in a state of serenity that can suggest a moment of bliss, well-being or simply a suspended moment that would belong to the world of dreams.

Mostly female, Dom's characters are graceful and seem to be imbued with goodness. So that each spectator can identify and write his own story, the artist voluntarily devoid of eyes. Inhabited both by music, theater and poetry, the artist transcribes in her pictorial work all the narrative intensity that she draws from her three disciplines in order to enrich her paintings.
