Philippe Siennicka

Artist - Designer, Philippe Siennicka discovered resins around ten years ago, while visiting a polyester surfboard manufacturing workshop. It was love at first sight for this material, as the applications and uses were numerous. What followed was a long journey of research and testing, completely self-taught. It was from 2009 that he began creating resin objects, then in 2010 the first lighting fixtures. In 2011, he decided to devote himself entirely to creating masterful multi-colored pieces (up to 2 meters high).

Each creation is unique and signed. It is first imagined on a computer. The part is then poured into a mold. They are created by superimposing layers of mass-tinted resins, sometimes combined with wood or metal, the colors can be transparent, translucent, opaque or fluorescent. It takes between four to eight weeks to make a resin slab. Then it will first be shaped to give it the desired shape and then sanded to eliminate defects. Finally, the last step, that of polishing by hand which will bring out and shine all the colors of the piece.
