Sandrine Schohn

Sandrine Schohn

Sandrine Schohn was born on November 21, 1971 in Saint-Raphaël.

From the age of 3, she mixed colors, worked with materials, represented what she saw and transformed it in her own way. After studying at an M.J.M Plastic Art high school in Nice, she worked as a Poly stone creation decorator in Fréjus then a designer in a Libre Axces style office in Sainte-Maxime.

Moth she paints away from all the hustle and bustle when everyone is asleep.

Since 2006, she has become known to the general public, through random encounters, she makes decorations for Ivana Trump in summer 1998.

Inspired by Picasso, Buffet and Vargas, Sandrine paints the modern woman: rebellious, romantic, modest or even seductive, but always with emotion on her face.

All these paintings reveal a play of balance between a multitude of colors and transparency. Schohn paints her time and her life as she feels it, with her heart and her big, wide-open eyes.

From 2023, Sandrine Schohn begins a turning point in her artistic approach. After years of exploring female emotion through the prism of color and transparency, she feels the need to deconstruct reality to reveal its invisible fragments.

This is how she turns to a new approach: like mosaic.

This precision work becomes for Sandrine a way of “fracturing reality” – not to break it, but to better understand its nuances, the interstices, the hidden truths. Where his paintings were nourished by fluidity and movement, his mosaics impose a new breath: slower, more introspective, but just as vibrant.
